On the Saturday 12th May the club had a club and quiz evening to raise some money for charity and well over 50 people attended this was the prelude to our annual Commodore’s Sail past on the Sunday the 13th.
There was punch and juice laid on prior to the sail past to get all well oiled before the arduous task of getting into all our boats shaking off the winter and welcoming the Summer in and boy was it a lovely day for it! Over 35 boats went up to the River Mill and back all saluting our new Commodore Keith Madgett and his lady Chrissie. This was followed by afternoon tea and salad and a pleasant afternoon talking with all our friends at the club.
Thanks to Mike Brightman and his social team for laying on the food and to John Notley and the Bar team for keeping us all lubricated.
