We Welcome New Membership Enquiries From Active Boating People.
Although there is a waiting list for moorings at the Club, many of our members moor elsewhere and still enjoy the facilities and the social life however, there is quite often spare moorings in the summer months which you can use. For Members it is £5 per night, for Non Members £15 per night. These moorings need to be booked through our Vice Commodore. We also have a visitors mooring at the front of the club for short stays.
We have members of all ages and from all walks of life and all are made equally welcome.There are in effect two types of membership of the OVRC, boating membership and social membership for non-boat owners. Boating members are those members with boats who moor either at the OVRC or elsewhere. On becoming a member you will be issued with keys to the grounds and clubhouse and a Club Handbook.
We will also cater for visiting craft of none members provided there are other members present at the club which, in the boating season there always is.
The image to the right is one of our visitors moorings which has a pay as you go electricity supply and we have water supply as well. We have to advise that we are not a commercial facility so these visitors moorings are available to those who book and not for those who just pitch up expecting a mooring. This said we are very keen to invite boaters from other systems and or marinas and clubs to visit us in the interest of fostering and promoting this wonderful past time of cruising the rivers of the British Isles.
Please note due to mooring restrictions we limit boat lengths to 33 feet and below.
